Base Metals are, with Noble Metals, a common ore among the others, rarer, ores. It spawn in clusters of 6 to 12 ores on asteroids. It has a mining difficulty of 2. It sometimes appear in trade tab with NPCs.
It is an important ore, although not critical, as it help players to get their own refined resources through industry, providing a good factory setup is already installed.
Doing this, players ensure to be less, if no more, dependent on trading and salvaging for theses resources.
